Sweet sweet Victory!

The time had come to finally play out the last bit of the battle in Rhest. The main building infront of us was occupied by an enemy spellcaster that had taken control of poor Farkor, and the huge black dragon was near by ready to strike one of us.

After starting the first round with a well-placed Dispel Magic Eluard prepared for being attacked. Anor was next, chosing to go after the spellcaster on the roof since he was an easier target and also still in control of Farkor. 3 arrows went off, but alas, 3 misses. They were actually hits, but some magic spell caused them to just miss him with a few inches.

The mood dropped a bit for what to come, but Morbald did his duty and landed 3 missiles on the enemy spellcaster on the roof. Then it was the big dragon turn. To our suprise, he lifted and flew off towards the bell tower. Getting a small breather was nice, it gave us the opportunity to end the life of 2 ogres and hit the spellcaster who retreated down in the building.

Back came the dragon, with the coward Saarwith on his back ending its movement just at the stair we were heading for that led up to the roof of the main building. Alas, we couldnt get shelter from the goblin inside now.

An arrow left the wyrmlords bow but missed Anor. It was our turn again. Eluard decided to fire off an Ayialla's Radiant Burst which made some damage to both dragon and Saarwith, but most importantly, made the goblin blind. Anor fires 3 arrows towards the goblin who get hit by 2 himself and 1 hits one of his two mirror images. Only 1 mirror image remaining. Our goal here is to kill the wyrmlord, and discover what he is doing out here. So Morbald fires off his Magic Missiles against him as well. Last image is gone.

Coward as he is, Saarwith orders the dragon to retreat as far away as he can. Eluard continues to push towards the building as Anor fires away 3 arrows at a distance of 5-700 feet. All 3 hits. Wyrmlord falls of motionless, as the last arrow hits him straight in the spine. Dragon roars and heads back.

Eluard now focuses his divine powers and lets loose a Hammer of Righteousness that deals a massive 57 points of damage. Dragon take a good hit but continues. Anor fires as much as he can and scores a few hits. The enemies on the roof of the main building are now taking cover as much as they can and the enemy spellcaster cant be seen still. Dragons turn. It continues towards Anor and makes a disarm attempt on his bow. It succeeds and things look dire again. Eluard, who stands just a couple of feets behind, moves in to strike the dragon from behind. An attack of opportunity is made from the dragon who deals 15 damage but takes 16 in return from the Fire Shield protecting Eluard.

Eluard is now next to the dragon and casts a spell as he grabs the dragon's wing. The dragon starts to freeze as the heat is sucked from his body and the Shivering Touch made it to drop to a halt. It completely froze and got paralyzed from it! Anor regains his bow and both Eluard and Anor starts to pound the dragon Coup de Grace's until it utterly falls a part.

Morbald who failed another Will save vs the dragon had started to flee back to the tower. Farkor now regains control of himself and starts to head back to the tower as well. The lizardmen are approaching quickly now, only 500 feet away. Farkor and Anor decides to go back to the dragon and cutting of its head to put it on top of the bell tower to state an example. It proves to be a wise choice, since the lizardmen decides to head back after closing in on the tower.

After the miraculous deed, we decided to head back to the rendevouz spot. Being cautious, we decided to fire off a Rope Trick spell to guarantee our saftey until the elves came and picked us up. Initially, we wanted the elves to stay for a couple of minutes as we cleared the main building and searching the area, but as soon as they learned the deaths of Killiar and Trellara, they refused to do anything else but to return to Star Song Hill.

Accepting their wishes, we all returned to their village. Thinking it might not matter so much since the only known enemies left are the enemy spellcaster, 1 ogre and 1 ettin. If they would decide to leave the area they will not get very far as the terrain is very rough and the elves in the area are air-borne on their giant owls. Tracking them down and capturing them will not be a very hard task.

So, another wyrmlord bites the dust and another dragon as well. The Red Hand of Doom takes another blow as the Resistance in Elsir Vale continues to stack their victories!
